Spring has Sprung! Here’s What We’re Planning at Prime West Knoxville

Meadows starry with wildflowers. Pastel sunsets. Ballgames and barbecues. Emptying your house of junk. Going to yard sales to refill your house with junk. Who doesn’t love spring?

Here at Prime West Knoxville, we’re particularly excited. It’s our first spring since opening, a time of new beginnings, with plenty of fun and fulfillment in store for our already vibrant independent living community. Here are a few things we’re looking forward to as the days begin to lengthen.

Memorable day trips
Much as they love the Prime West Knoxville community, our residents are always keen to get out and about. Transportation service from campus makes short trips a cinch, and the warmer weather will open up a vast range of day trip options to explore Tennessee’s fabled natural beauty.

Popular destinations include:

  • Knoxville — It’s a 20-minute drive to Knoxville’s Old City, where you can stroll among beautifully renovated 19th-century buildings that now house boutiques and coffee shops. Nearby, the open-air Market Square Farmers’ Market sells local produce and baked treats, perfect for restocking your apartment’s full-size kitchen.
  • Pigeon Forge — Dolly Parton’s Tennessee mountain home is just an hour’s drive away. The Dollywood theme park is the main attraction here, but you can also enjoy a live concert, a lumberjack show and the Titanic Museum, housed inside a replica of the doomed liner.
  • Great Smoky Mountains — Prime West Knoxville is on the doorstep or America’s most visited national park with its wooded trails, verdant valleys and wildlife such as black bears and white-tailed deer. Wildflower lovers should visit in spring, when evocatively named species like jack-in-the-pulpit and lady slipper orchids bloom in their all-too-brief beauty.
Outdoor refreshments
Spring is a time for simple pleasures — such as sipping your morning coffee on the porch or patio of your apartment while planning your day. If you’re feeling sociable, that plan might include organizing a cookout using one of our communal BBQs.

Talking of simple pleasures, there are few things our residents like more than the unlimited soft-serve ice cream at our bistro and cafe. As the mercury rises, this is sure to be one of the most popular hangouts on campus.

Sports and recreation
After all that ice cream, it could be time for some exercise. A stroll around our landscaped campus or a competitive match on our 18-hole putting green are fine ways to while away a spring afternoon. For a more energetic workout, you can hit the pickleball court, chase your pup around the bark park or join an open-air fitness class. With more than 50 clubs (and counting!) in the community, there really is an activity for all seasons.

Of course, indoor activities at Prime don’t stop when the sun comes out. Rain or shine, you can enjoy the movie theater, the hydroponic garden, the aquatic treadmill and a host of other amenities that make this affordable independent living community stand out from the crowd.

So, perhaps it’s time for your own new beginning? If so, please contact us today to arrange a tour with our team.
